These tours
will take place in the summer months, weather depending, from
start of June through until end of September.
They will start varying times, so call to find
out ! Early enough to have some light to start out and go onto
midnight. Please arrive early to give some time to get ready. (Bring
warm clothes as some summer nights are still quite fresh). Bring
torches with you, or we can provide them.
NIGHT BIKE RIDES
We will meet at Braccicorti and ride up into
the Orecchiella Natural Park via the road and small villages to
the toen of Corfino. From Corfino we go into the park of the
Orecchiella to a good vantage point over the valley for moonlight
views and for animals, hoping to hear the sounds or a sight of the
Apennine wolf. Here we will take time to enjoy these tranquil
surroundings around us, before heading down into the valley via
some trails and meadows where we should fine numerous fire flies
back to Braccicorti.
NIGHT WALKS
We will meet at Braccicorti where we will
prepare for the walk. We will then transfer to the Orecchiella
Natural Park and Rif Isera where we will then walk up onto the top
of the Pania del Corfino. Here on top one has a panorama that is
hard to beat, on a summers night with the mountains lit by the
light of the moon and the sounds of the crickets and fireflies in
the sky it is a wonderful experience. With the Apennines on one
side and the valley and Alpi Apuane on the other, there is no
better vantage point. From here we will back track down through
the forest to the start for a final drink after the past walk.
From there we head back to Braccicorti. Lights can be provided.
The level of the walk is easy to moderate level, it is just
getting used to walking at night !!!! |
